There are many creatures that are hardly seen by us as they sleep through the day and hunt during the night when they come awake. Some of the most common nocturnal creatures are bats and owls. Apart from this there are the rodents and beavers, and many predators that come out at night to catch their unwary prey. Most nocturnal creatures are carnivorous. Among those that come out for other reasons than hunting their prey are the moths, crickets and other insects which are pollinating flowers and finding their food while doing their job.
