With Pentium 4 and a better RAM, use XP to get the maximum benefit out of it. Try partitioning the hard disk into memory divisions ranging from 5GB and 20 GB memory. Format your disks and installing your operating system. Try to defragment your system at least once in a week even though this consumes much time. Increase of registry size and the increase of files and folders in your computer will decrease the performance of your computer.
