Our heart has 4 chambers. For the heart to contact an electrical impulse begins from an area in right atrium called sinoatrial. This impulse travels from atrium to atrioventriular nodule between the walls of two ventricles and then to ventricles. This travelling of impulse from one chamber to other is associated with beating of heart. Normal heart beats at 60—100 beats per minute. Certain conditions force the atria to contract at an abnormal rate of more then 200 and this abnormal beating of atria is known as atrial fibrillation. On time management can cure atrial fibrillation and prevent stroke.
